Hi all.

I was kind of wondering if there is an option for me to do Nursing at TAFE NSW without a HSC. And someone told me that you didn't need to do a Cert III and skip to CERT IV?

Any help?

That used to be the case but anymore, you will need an HSC to become a Cert IV (enrolled nurse) or a diploma awarded (enrolled nurse) in NSW. myfuture :: State Occupation Information - Nurse - Enrolled There is a pathway to nursing (enrolled) without doing the HSC, you will need to contact the TAFE/training provider for more info about this though: Sydney: http://www.myfuture.edu.au/services/default.asp?FunctionID=5350&CourseID=1411&ProviderID=214 New England: myfuture :: Courses and Programs—Course Information - Certificate II in Access to Nursing

You could always go to TAFE and do the HSC in a year, etc. Or have a look at some other relevant careers such as Nursing aids/assistants, Assistants in therapy: myfuture :: Occupation Information - Therapy Aide
myfuture :: Occupation Information - Personal Care Worker
