Hi,

I'm doing a PIP on how acculturation affects Australian Born Chinese and the way they interact with their family and peers.
If anybody would like to participate in a focus group (group discussion) I'm holding on msn please leave your email here or add me on pyyggii@hotmail.com

Any help is greatly apppreciated,

Thx

Chloe

EDIT: bah! I am such and idiot, I've decided to scrap the set date because I realised that people may be busy that day. Anyway, if you're interested, please leave a message and your email...or you could add me........and now I'm just repeating myself -_-
We can figure out the date later ^_^

thx!

i wish i can join but i am no abc =(
How long have you been in australia? If you've been here over 5 years, I'd still like your help! ^_^
A pip is a "personal interest project" - I have to do it for Society & Culture

Okay, *dramatic sigh* at the risk of plagerism...I will tell you all this BRILLIANT plan of mine......
ok I'm just being weird.

Well this project is a study of how australian culture affects the traditional culture of people with chinese backgrounds, mainly focusing on the chinese people born in australia or those that grew up in australia.
I'm planning to analyse how acculturation affects the way the younger generations communicate with their parents and/or their peers.

Does that make sense?

Basically, how does growing up in australia affect your relationship with your parents or with your friends...if it affects it at all.

EDIT: oh and about dates and stuff, I understand ppl will be cramming for exams so I was going to see who was interested and decide on the date then.

Well I would like to have it done by the end of the coming up hols...so I've still got a fair while. It's just, I'd rather have it done as soon as I can so I can move on to do other stuff.
