when ozone is depleted, it it exothermic?
and what effect does CFC's or ozone depletion or whatever have on global warming? i cant find this anywhere but im thinking it has something to do with a reaction being exothermic? or that as there is less ozone the UV comes and heats up earth more and then isnt allowed to escape as other gases absorb its energy? lol made that up then but yeh just curious

The depletion of the ozone layer has NOTHING to do with global warming. Global warming and ozone depletion are two separate phenomena.

Global warming comes from the retention of heat from escaping into space caused by greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide.

Ozone depletion, is the breakdown of the ozone layer. The ozone layer acts as a protective shield in the stratosphere from harmful UV radiation coming from the sun. If the ozone layer was depleted by CFCs, then there would be more harmful UV rays reaching the Earth's surface which increases the likelihood of mutations such as melanoma (skin cancer).

UV radiation does NOT have heat in it. Heat is infrared radiation which has a longer wavelength than UV radiation. The heat you feel from the sun is infrared, not UV. A common misconception is that the hotter it is, the more UV radiation there is, but that's not true. Even on cold days, the UV radiation level could be high even if infrared radiation is low because you cannot see or feel UV radiation.

And by the way, the depletion of the ozone layer is ENDOTHERMIC. The ozone molecule ABOSRBS UV radiation in order for it to decompose.
