would an american nstc game work on a pal playstation / tv. I have heard different things: that graphics would be poor, gameplay slower, black and white (no colour). Secondly is there any way a pal playstation or pal tv can be configured to allow the use of these games.Thanks.

I haven't heard of NTSC games as such, only platforms which will output NTSC format video. Provided your PlayStation can play the game (I assume it can), there is no reason why your TV can't display it seeing most have NTSC support.
