Parametric representation of the parabola (1 Viewer)

I got no idea what this topic is and i got an assignment for it due in a week or so. do you guys have any idea what topic it? and maybe some textbook references :S From coroneos and fitzpatrick.

It could possibly deal with the parametric equations of the parabola, namely x = 2at and y = at², if you are looking in the extension 1 maths course.
