Hey guys, just wondering what people would include in this answer?
It's an 8 mk question and I was gonna talk about -

  • Low species/fossils in Early Triassic as there was a possible eruption which wiped out many species (Include info on Lahars, Lava flows, climate change from CO2, SO2 and ash clouds - all of which could kill)
  • Low fossils as it's hard to fossilize in volcanic ash
  • Increased fossil abundance in Middle Triassic due to evolution (punctuated equilibrium/natural selection both mentioned here)
  • Maybe possibly mention that low fossil count could be due to rock properties?

No idea if that's enough or if any of that is wrong or even if I need more, any help would be great. Thanks guys :)

i did that question with my teacher b4,
she said the same things you said but lava could of also destroyed previous fossils. this causes the fossils to reduce
just expand what you have
