on all the courses i put down at UTS it says on the "acknowledgement of application" from UAC that "Yr 12 applicants may also submit a personal statement see http://www.uts.edu.au/study/appform.html"
is there any point in doing this?

ok but on the site specified it has personal statements under "Non-current school leavers". When you open up the "2005 UAC Admission Personal Statement Guide (current until 30-Nov-04)" it says that you should only complete a personal statement if you are:

- A non-current school leaver (CSLX) applicant. Non-current school leavers are applicants who are NOT completing a recognized Australian year 12 or overseas equivalent in the year 2004.
- An applicant who is 20 years of age or over on 1 March 2005 AND will be applying with a completed
STAT test or Limited UAI. (NB: These qualifications will be accepted for some courses only. Call 9514
1222 for details).

...???confused

okie the personal statement is compulsory for people who did not complete the hsc this year.. ie non school leavers like transfers etc. ..

for current school leavers, it is a option whether or not they wish to submit one.. if they want to do a personal statement, they can.. ")

if you do wish to submit one.. try to make it impressive!!

/edit fixing up some grammar
