Hey, I was just wondering which textbook is recommended for the Prelim Ancient History course. We have been told to buy Unlcoking the Past - Preliminary. Lawless et al but it was published in 1996 does that by any chance matter like would it be better to have a book thast been updated according to the syllabus. Some of my friends at other schools have been told to buy Antiquity 1 - is there any difference?
Any help would be greatly appreciated:)

We used Antiquity 1 last year, but we didn't have to buy it, we hired it from the school for the year. I don't think it really matters for the Prelims. We used it maybe once in the whole year? The rest were photocopied sheets from all sorts of text books. I don't think it matters, but we used Antiquity 1.

P.S. Why is this posted in the Modern History sub-forum?
