How much of the stuff that come up in the prelims will be in the hsc? For example, will chem mods 1-4 also appear in the hsc papers or just 5-8? Or are they just for yr 11.

Modules 1-4 are in the HSC Chemistry Course as assumed knowledge, so you'll need to know the fundamentals.

In terms of other subjects, it's the same thing. Although, one exception is Mathematics where Year 11 Content is assessed in the HSC (correct me if I'm wrong in terms of other subjects for that exception).
