[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]"GasChromotography is used to separate complex mixtures of different molecules based on their physical properties, such as polarity and boiling point."
i think im confused as to what is a physical and chemical property?
is chemical only for how they react and physical is other stuff?
could some1 give me some examples of each?

Chemical properties are more about the reaction of the substance. E.g. A physical property of octane would be that it's liquid at room temp, it has X degrees boiling point, transparent liquid, etc...
Chemical property would be that it would ignite easily in oxygen to undergo combustion.

so if im classifying O2 and ozone:
Physical:
  • appearance
  • boiling/mp
  • density
  • bonding
Chemical:
  • Solubility in water
  • stability
  • Reactivity
Or is bonding chemical because if affects how it reacts hence its chemistry?
and if i was saying Ozone is more reactive that O2 and talked about being oxidising agents could i say:
2Mn + 3O2 -> 2MnO + O2......==Oxygen requires more molecules to oxidise as isnt as strong oxidising agent
Mn + O3 -> MnO + O2...........==Ozone needs fewer molecule to oxidise a substance as it readily looses O-->reactive-->stronger oxidant
