Apologies if this has been asked already,
I'm interested in the BPsych for 2008, but I've heard that progression into Honours (and hence registration as a certified Psychologist) needs a Distinction Average. Is there any way around this? eg. Graduate Diplomas etc. that satisfy the 4 year requirement?
Also, if there isn't any way around this, what are career prospects are available without postgrad study. Do about half the Psych students end up wasting 3 years of their time and money and walk right into the Centrelink queue?
If so, that's a pretty deceptive and disgusting practice for USyd to lure prospective (ill-informed) students into such an uncertain future
would appreciate some feedback
