So how did you approach this??

I was abit lost as to what i should of put in the circle as the process...

I had vet and PETS on either side in rectangles
and in the circle in the middle i had no idea and wrote "email" as the process
with lines going in and out of each

vet-->email and email-->PETS i put owner/pet details
PETS-->email and email-->vet i put confirmation

i know it just has to be wrong...

on the left in a rectangle i had owner of cat/dog ---> circle with PETS ---> vets

from owner to PETS i had "request for chip implant" or somethin along those lines

and from vets to PETS i had "details of pet and owner" or wateva it said in the question...and then from PETS to vets i had "confirmation of details"

pretty sure thats how its meant to go....

0__0? I originally drew in 'Owners' entity but then rubbed it out because they didn't seem to interact with PETS system and they can't interact directly with Vet.
Oh dear?

I thought context diagrams only required one process, as in one part of the system, not squish everything into one process..

Processes I've always been told are verbs not people or a system.

1) no verbs in the processes of a context diagram
2) PETS was an entity with OWNER and VET all linked to a central process

PETS is a system/process. And a Context diagram consists of Two entities and One process

why would PETS be the process, the VET emails them and receives a confirmation email, PETS does not communicate with the OWNER.

A context diagram can consist of infinite entities and 1 process .. depending on the system.

EDIT: imo

I had the vet as part of the process, i just called it Chip installation and Database, or something.. and i had a customer entity and PETS entity.

Probably wrong, but it was an "epic context diagram"

hmm now that i think about it i think the correct thing would be to put the vet as the process and the owner/pet and PETS as the entities...
as its through the vet that the owner/pet's information reaches PETS

meh, hopefully ill get one mark for correct symbols/structure of a context diagram

I'd laugh so hard if you actually did a data flow diagram instead. Can you imagine Splendo? :angry:
Lol nah i did it properly. I had the Manual operation up top, and it went down with like the cylinders and rhombuses and stuff. It was good stuff.
