I've read alot of threads and none really clarify what i'd like to know, currently in one subject my mark/rank that my teacher will send to BOSTES in a few days/whenever it happens, is 65 and i am not ranked 1st in that subject, more like 15, now in theory if i were to get 90 + in that subject for the HSC would it affect my final mark drastically? like would it tank down quite low because my final internal mark was so low compared to my external? and also how would it affect my if my internal mark for a subject i am rank 2 in is 80 and i was getting in theory a 90 + in the HSC?

Sorry, i've like probably recycled threads alot lately but i've realised just how clueless I am about all this stuff and the HSC is pretttty close T_T

Don't worry I'm clueless too haha.

But I think it's your rank sent, and the 15th highest HSC mark (in your cohort) for your subject is xx, then you get xx, given that you're ranked 15th, for your assessment mark (50%). And YOUR own HSC mark is yy, and you get yy for your HSC mark (50%).

And xx + yy = your mark/100

At least that's how I've interpreted it from various (confusing) sources.
