So far I'm using avast for antivirus for Windows XP (Pro 32-bit) but:
Which ones are you using which are proven worthy over many others?
What are your recommendations for:

Antivirus?

Firewall?

Anti-spyware?

I use:

Firewall: Comodo Firewall Pro

Antivirus: AVG, Vundo Fix (cleans out a lot of rubbish)

Anti-spyware: Spyware Blaster, Spybot

Eh I'm a paranoid freak. Also would recommed this CCleaner thing. Handy as, Ad-Aware too.

you should not use more then one anti-virus program. but using a firewall ,antivirus, and anti-spyware is fine.

Superantispyware
Superadblocker

One thing I forgot to mention freeloader, not via illegal means.

For a moment I thought Comodo Firewall PRO was a free trial but that applies to the PLUS.

I'm fine with only using only one anti-virus software but I am not a tech-savvy geek or nerd so I will not install Linux as an operating system.

But thank you to those who have made useful contributions.

Been using the mix that tal has said there for years and never had a problem. And if you're referrign to the spyware programs, i'll tell you the difference between them:

Spyblaster - blocks insecurities in ur windows/IE and PREVENT spyware infections
Spybot S&D - repairs/gets rid of spyware.

so basically spyblaster is a firewall for spyware.

And comodo rocks. it has an A/V scanner as well.

as long as they do not use the same purpose they are fine. like don't use say norton ( which i would never touch again anyway) and AVG.

I know people using Linux who treat their computers as "appliances". No need to have in depth computer knowledge.
