I just wrote up my related material today, it was Edvard the Scream.
I pretty much just analysed how the image can be seen to represent panic of human existence.
For example, it is evident through the blood red sky that this natural environment spreads fear and panic onto the "persona" but is juxatposed from the man made railing and pathway that presents to the responder human existence.
I just pulled that out of my ass. It sounds ok I might use it.
sort of on the right track.... i use persona too btw you could also use caricature....
"fear and panic
Into the persona"
maybe you should write something like...
"fear and panic into the persona which is reiterated/ emphasised by the structuring of the persona on the bridge, the pale colour of his anonymous face"
the use of darker, colours in thick swirled lines could represent Munchs state of mind, as he used a variety of drugs such as cocaine, alcohol and opium, connecting to depression, paronia and eventually, agrophobia. why it may be called the scream....but the dark colours could also represent the impact of Krakatoa which erupted in 1893, could have influenced his painting. These are then juxtaposed by the brighter colours symbolic of hope in his future, hope all the good stuff in other words..... the caricture is thus protecting himself from the infrasound waves being omitted.....
hope that makes sense....
