i have one related text but i need another, i was thinking maybe a song, i know bohemian rhapsody and stairway to heaven have been mentioned before, would these fit with any question? or are books and movies a better option?

any ideas on these songs would be helpful too, just so i can get an idea of how good (or not so good) they would be as a related text.
thanks

if you're stuck for ideas i would try looking at the Supplementary Texts threads, for your specific types of journey. they list ideas for texts that you can use.

it depends. you have to look at the aspects of imaginative journey in these songs and decide whether you can comfortably discuss them as texts.

this also depends. i would suggest you try and vary your textypes. look at your core material. if its a poem, for example Coleridge's poetry, then try not to choose poems.
what textype is your chosen supplementary text? if it is a movie, try a book or song. if it is a book or song, try to look for a movie.
varying is not compulsory, there is no set rules for what type of texts you use, but it will show more depth of understanding in terms of techniques if you are able to analyse a range of types of texts.

yeah i've been trying to get different forms of related material, my related texts for coleridges poems so is a book, theres a sea in my bedroom, which i can easily reltae, so i was wanting something different, thought i'd see if anyway had any ideas, if i picked a movie or a book that i have already read or seen it wouldn't be difficult to do, but i was wanting to do a song, i just don't really know how you go about relating these.
cause there aren't many techniques, you can put with them, but i thought they'd be good to do. Also everyone interprets songs differently depending on how they look at things, so yeah.
anyway thanls for your replies.
