Stupid question but is someone able to define quantitative and qualitative for me and possible give me an example of each. im really stuck and dont quite understand it

quantitative is numerical data which is used for statistical analysis and is obtained through things such as questionnaires and surveys.
qualitative data aims to obtain feelings, opinions, beliefs and attitudes about the topic being investigated and is obtainged through methods such as interviews and observations.
