just a quick one for those of you who check here more often than you check your SOLS (I'm sure there is at least one of you) :)

Results appear to be up a day early. at least for marks from Informatics, Law, and Science faculty subjects.

Enjoy ;)

The mark listed for each subject is the final grade :) That's your exam mark (If applicable), combined with any relevant assessments which you've completed throughout this session.

Details for the breakdown of this mark should be in the subject outline for each subject ;)

They generally don't make the exam mark available on its own, leaving it to you to figure out if you're keen :)

If you've got your marks for each of the assessments as you go along, you can calculate your exam mark from the final mark you got :)

For example, if your total for the assessments is 40/50 (And your assessments account for 50% of the entire course mark) and your final grade is 85, it means that you got 45/50 for the exam :)

That's assuming they haven't scaled marks and stuff like that, details regarding that may be in your subject outline. Hope that helps a bit :)

Oh! Normally they're made available in one way or another throughout session, as the assessments are completed.

Depending on your faculty (And the preference of the subject coordinator) they may appear on SOLS, in a marks section on WebCT for the subject, or on a faculty noticeboard at the uni somewhere.

If they're in none of those places, or you're not sure where the noticeboard is, you might be able to email the subject coordinator and ask about it :)

Pretty happy for the results/lack of effort. Next session I am reducing the hours that I work (no more monday and tuesday nights) - which should improve my grades, and give me some time for my girly ;)

Satisfactory.

This is used in a select number of courses because you don't really get tested on the material as such. It is more skills based. The subject in question is Legal Research and Writing. :)LLB110) which is an introductory course which teaches you how to find relavent legal material and also teaches you on the fine points of citation. :p citation....yuck :(

The subject is weighted as either Satisfactory or Unsatisfactory. No marks are available. :)

thats not the final grade ey?

i had exams as well as assessments--so its combined??
thanks matez
they don't usually scale much, unless 60% of the class is failing.

you are always allowed to go and look at your paper, just go see the subject co-ordinator.
