how come some of the courses have the same course code and the cut offs

eg.

oops ... sorry i thought thats what you meant.

They are all engineering subjects - but they all have different majors.

They all have the same cutoff due to demand.

I know that at ANU there are several like that, you just apply for a BA and then when you arrive enrol into the named specialisation eg BA Policy Studies. Because the named specialisation just consists of doing two set majors rtahre than choosing your own.

Therefore by doing it how they do it's easier to calculate and regulate course numbers and the like.
