wat do u study for in ur maths hc trials
cuz teacher didn't say much
This is for 5.3 maths (advanced)

Know your constructions, (bisecting angles etc), probability, and those stats tables, basic algebra

Don't forget the stuff on Imaginative numbers...Eg. Finding the square root of -3 ;)

I already told you look through past sc papers and basic year 9-10 questions.

LOL.

For SC, I didn't do any study for Maths and scraped a high band. Same with computing, highly competent lmao. The only study I did was for Geography, where I failed the half yearly (35%, no study), and got a mark of 88 for Geography in the SC. TAKE THAT 35% lol.

Remember kiddos, don't stress about the SC, it's only year 10. The only thing I benefited from the SC was the experience of the BOS people patrolling and giving instructions, which will be helpful for the HSC.

Yeah. More correctly, it stands for the square root of -1.
Yep, but we don't necessarily define "i" as the sqrt of -1, it's more so i² = -1.

Yeah, my bad. :p

It's because i can refer to +sqrt(-1) and -sqrt(-1) isn't it?

-sqrt-1 = -i

I really don't know why, but I've read it numerous times that the definition of i is that i² = -1.
