I was just wondering if anyone has received any acknowledgement from UNSW of their scholarship application....I haven't, and as D-Day looms, I'm starting to worry they didn't get mine! I have received stuff from Sydney and UTS, so that's okay, but I haven't felt this stressed about everything since the HSC started!

What UAI did you end up with ?

my uai was 94.9 - last yrs cut off for the course wid the scholarship was 94.5 so i am hopin it doesnt change!
did u get anything dario?

Its a shame unsw doesn't offer the range of scholarships usyd does.

Did you get a university of sydney scholarship? like $8000/$5000? If so ****congrats****!

Yeah, I got offered two on the one day after the UAIs [97.10] came out. I've taken the Academic Excellence Reigonal Scholarship which is 1 year and 2 x $ 1500. What area are you from K8Y ?

I'm going to do Computer Bioinformatics after all, because Kristine, the Informatics chick, said that it is more specialised than Internet Science and Technology and that 'it will open more doors for you.' Tell me what you end up deciding to do. What Unis and courses are on your list at the moment ?

Well i applied to maquarie as my second preference, i went ot the open day and filled out a scholarship form and when i got home i got a call saying that i got a $3500 schloarship over three years, very quick processing

yeh, 3500 a year for 3 years, well i got 99.55

I was so shocked when I got my offer for a USYD Scholarship with Distinction ($8000 x years) as I only got 99.1, but have been really involved in extra-curricular political involvements, I guess that goes to show that it takes more than brains.

!Meeee! I thought about refusing my scholarship too but decided it would be crazy to throw away such a massive offer, imagine how much easier ift would be doing uni and never having to work etc, its like a paid job!

could you please tell me what exactly what you have on your usyd scholarship application to be awarded one with distinction, coz i thought i had a pretty decent one, and i thought i got a good enough uai (99.75), yet i didnt get offered anything whatsoever. in fact, i havent even heard from them as yet.
