ok, right now im doing the subjects in my banner, except instead of ext. 2 maths im doing ext. 1 english. im also doing a 1 unit mac uni course (critical thinking), so that makes 13 units for this year. i'm going to drop ext. english in year 12 so i can do 4 unit maths (as per my banner), and im only doing ext 1 cos i want essay writing practice, which would be good for next year.
BUT...
i just found out that the mac course IS an essay writing practice course, so i'm basically doing 2 subjects as practice subjects which ill end up dropping. if i drop ext english ill probs get free periods, which would be good for my other subjects. plus, the english dept at my school seems like it doesnt want ppl to do ext 1 english by making out that its so hard that ull spend ur life on it (seriously), which has made my class halve in just a week.
so idk - should i stick it out and take the extra work as practice, or just drop it and use the mac uni course as my twelfth unit?

Extension english is really good in my opinion. It will give you 'essay practice' but it will also improve the way you use language.

But, the subjects in your sig look really demanding haha. It is only one extra unit so I'd drop it in yr 12.

If you find the workload is too high, drop it. I'm only doing 2U English, it's nice not having to worry about all those extra texts.

If you want to practise more essay writing, then just write more essays. It doesn't have to be Extension English.

Do Extension English if you like English. If you don't, then it's unnecessary.
