Size for your IPT class (1 Viewer)

i'm just intersted if any schools take this course seriously.....

We've got about 17-20.

Year 11: 25?
Year 12: 20?

It's 15+

I couldn't imagine an IPT class with 1-10 students.

We have about the same number for 4U english and 4U maths (maybe more for 4U maths, about 15 or so).

People get tired of IPT at the end of the prelim, so they drop it.
We had about 5-6 students drop it, if not more (see above post).

But I like the class and it's pretty cool

we've got 13..or maybe 12..i dunno. but there are about 70 people in our yr all up, so only like 18.5%ish of people at my school do ipt in yr 12

I think there's about 160-180 kids.

our school has 2 classes of approx 20 people each. overall the school has 120-ish people.

it's pretty big though, but 'size doesnt matter' hey??

i'll try to spin this around:

it's not about how many people do a particular subject, it's about the quality of the candidature and the average assessment marks

Our principal dosnt care about our class, only cares about the chemistry class. Anyone who is not good enough to do chemistry gets automatically dropped to IPT not that i was one of them, i originally was in chemistry but came back to IPT because i realised how much fun i was missing out on.

Our principal has been audited this year, lol... i got to participate in the questions and stuff. it was pretty cool

that's a dodgy system if i do say so myself (and i do ).
kicking people out of chem to go into IPT,

although, we had about 20+ people drop chem at the end of the prelim year LOL!!

it was that bad, nobody really learnt anything
and i guess the same can be said for IPT

chem is more difficult than IPT though, i'll admit that.
but yeah, you've always got a handful of people who muck around and play jokes, don't do homework, talk all the time, disrupting class, etc.

Extension 1 English: 16 students
Extension 2 Maths: 12+ I would say
Extension 1 Maths: 50

I think 4U English is the smallest class in my school, even IPT is larger than 4U English and 4U Maths combined! (I think...)

lol 20 people is a lot..loo.. we ahve 2 IPT class, so like 45+ do IPT ..and my school only have 60 year 12's ..lol.

How many do IT (VET) or Software Design, Development (SDD)?
I'd be interested to know.

IT (VET) = 5-10?
SDD = 20?

That's weird... we have less than 10% of the entire yeargroup doing IPT I think,

assuming there are 20 kids in IPT
and 160 to 180 kids in the entire form.

na not all computer geius, like out of 45 IPT students only 20 smart one's then rest are lazy ass....but we have 3 really samart one's made it into the NSW computer programing team..so yeah. big IPT but some small brains

Cool, I've never seen that many IPT students before...

We have about:

IPT: 20
SDD: 15
IT: 18?

Pretty small numbers,

most of the kids are:

a) HSIE (eco, biz, legal, history, geo)
b) Maths (3u, 4u)
c) English (3u, 4u)
d) Sciences (phy, chem, bio)
e) Other (italian, music, art)
f) Technology (IT, IPT, SDD)

That pretty much classifies every subject though, so it doesn't really work hehe

Most guys are a mix of Maths, Science & Technology.

My software class has 3 too (including me)
you sure we're not at the same school? lol

I think my IPT class has about 12...hard to keep track because people dont show up. I dont think we've had our whole class present for a while

That was the same for "Earth and Environmental Science" at my school. I wanted to do it (just to see what it was like, etc, instead of IPT since I wasn't really too happy about doing computers for another 2 years (4 all up now)).

But we only had about 7-8 guys who wanted to do it, not enough for a 2U class.

The same goes for Studies of Religion II (2 unit).
There weren't that many, so everyone does 1U (compulsory).
