Hey, just wondering what we have to know for the dot point

quantitatively analyse the relative quantities of reactants and products in each step of the solvay process

i was unsure about this one too, and im certain we didnt cover it at school

i think it refers to questions where you need to do molar type calculations, and you need to know the equations involved in the process...like they might ask how much you need of a certain reactant to get a certain amount of product.

yep that's rite, u hav to know all the equations for the main steps of the solvay process (brine purification, sodium hydrogen carbonate formation, ammonia recovery..um one more, cant rememba) and b able to use these equations to solve mathematical operations. eg. find the number of moles of carbon dioxide formed when 2kg of CaO is used
