i need a study guide/s suitable to use through the year with my 2u and 3u course.

-must cover all topics, prelim & hsc.
-must have GOOD questions with WORKED solutions
-review excercises

anyone have any suggestions?

The only one I can think of at the moment that goes through your criteria is the Excel books for 2 and 3 unit maths. There might be others though.

Look for Excel HSC Maths Extension 1 [by S.K. Patel], this has the complete course for preliminary and HSC for extension 1. The worked solutions are clear and comprehensively, but there aren't alot of excercises compared to other textbooks like fitzpatrick and cambridge. There is also one for Mathematics that only covers the 2 unit course with fully worked answers to the excercises as well.

I went out this afternoon and bought the "Excel Mathematics" book.

"mathematics" means maths advanced right?

No such subject as maths advanced in the HSC syllabus. However, if you are referring to 2 unit maths, then yes, the excel book you bought is for the 2 unit syllabus.
