Are all prescribed textbooks necessary?

I have 4 prescribed, can you please tell me if I should get them or not?

ECON1101- Principles of Microeconomics 3ED
ACCT1501- Financial Accounting An Integrated Approach 5ED

CHEM1101- Chemistry 2ED
BABS1201- Biology:Australian Version 9ED

ECON1101 and ACCT1501 textbooks are needed for homework. I guess you can get away with not having a textbook if your friend can lend you the textbook to do homework :)

Isn't 'SI Chemical Data 6E + WileyPlus Ebook Card' prescribed as well for CHEM1011?

I would borrow the biology book from High Use in the library. $200 is way too much to pay for a textbook for one course, especially when you can get all the info from wikipedia anyway. That's my two cents. Also, you'll discover that the exams are based mainly off lectures and tutorials and not textbook material for most courses.
