so, i fear i will only get a band 1 in the exam. i'm very bad at it :/

can anyone help me with the basics that could push me into a band 2? i'm not too worried about it all, i'd just like some friendly pointers! :)

or purchase those "revise in a month" books

No much point moving from a band 1 to 2, if that is what you would get. If however, you want to improve somewhat just memorise the formulas. That should be enough to move you from band 1 -> 2.

No point buying a revision book the day before the exam. If you have done nothing all year and then magically expect a book to save you a day before the hsc, you are screwed. Might as well just forget about math altogether. Nothing you do now is going to help you. Accept the fact that the subject is screwed, cop whatever questions you get in the exam tommorow and move on.
