I know I should write in French, but since this is technical stuff, I thought I should get it right! I was wondering - for the written sections, should you write on every second line? We've always done it at school to make correcting easier, but since our papers will not actually be marked, do you think this still matters? Also, does anyone know why the exam is 3 hours INCLUDING our reading time? It strikes me as really odd! Oh well!

1. Yes - it makes it easier for you to make corrections or changes. Since you have so much time, you should reread your response many times and weed out all the minor errors :).

2. I don't know, I wondered about this last year too. I don't think it matters, it's a 90 minute paper really!

I hate long exams :( I'm still sticking with writing on every second line.

The only problem is that I'll have no idea how much I've actually written, like how many words, because the pages are completely different sizes :/

i'll have no idea how many words either

but i will write on every line, because the lines are so spaced apart

including reading time - because we have already done the 10mins speaking. altogether it's 3hrs exam, 10mins reading

i just read the markers comments from last year - they don't like rote learned responses or anything over the word limit.

they like idioms, but not too many as it makes the piece sound false.

and remember to make everything that has to agree agree!!
