The extent to which someone ranks 1st and ATAR (1 Viewer)

Hi everyone,

I know this is quite a specific question but I thought it couldn't hurt to know the answer. Does the EXTENT to which you rank first in a subject have any importance once your internal assessments are over? That is to say, if for one subject someone ranked first by 20 marks, would it be viewed as the same 'score' as someone who ranked first in their subject by 2 marks?

Yes if they both received the same external external HSC mark..
