Someone told me yesterday that there was a lift in the tower building which went to the roof, however I have never seen one which went any higher than level 28.

I think it is rubbish, however ever since I started at UTS, I have always been puzzled as to why there are two lifts on one side of the lift area, and four on the other. Are there lifts in the spaces there?

Are there any "tour" groups which explore the plant levels and the roof? Or perhaps information on the Tower building?

There are lifts that go up to the top I think, but you need to have a special key to do so.

The reason why you have four lifts on one side and two on the other is that the four lift side only goes to even numbered floors and serves as a sort of 'express'. The two lift side covers all of the floors incl. odd numbered ones and some of the higher up floors.

The "even floor lifts" make a stop on level 7, and there is a plant on level 8 which you need a key to stop at. The "All stops lifts" only go to Level 28 which needs a key, but if you look up the southern fire stairs on level 27 you can see a narrow stairway which goes up at least another few floors.

Just to say...the lifts are dodgy at UTS. Went up once and it was creaky and so slow. And this was when I was by myself, and never been to UTS before, so I was scared :uhoh:
