Hey guys,

so things have not been great for me (things at home) and have been very much demotivated from my current program (Chemical Engineering) and am on my way to fail all my enrolled courses , I am thinking to see a counsellor soon about this problem but i feel I will have a better chance if I had transferred to a course that I think I would enjoy more, computer engineering.

Will this be possible? Especially since I am not doing so well in my current course?

Thank You.

Chemical Engineering and Computer Engineering are pretty much complete opposites. In Chemical, you will be taking a fair few chemistry subjects (as expected) and materials subjects, in Computer Engineering, you'll be taking a couple of Physics courses and Computing courses.

Do you actually know what Computer Engineering is? Why would you enjoy it?

As for transferring, you need 65 WAM to internally transfer (which are open now), or you can apply via UAC, but you will have to pay the extra $119 late fee on top of the $58 (iirc) fee.

Looks like you'd have to transfer through UAC, if you don't get 65 WAM.

As for you, just work fucking hard atm, try to aim for D avgs so you can be guaranteed a transfer spot into comp engineering.
