Im currently doing 12 units including Sports lifestyle rec (1Unit) and ext maths. SLR is not a yr 12 subject and i will end up with 11 units. In this case is it a waste of time doing ext math as id hav no other 1 unit subject to make up the 10 units if it were to count

if your ext maths counts, then half of another subject wouldn't

I think you should keep extension - like other people have said, it will lessen the impact if you bomb out in a two unit subject. And it will help you with 2 unit maths as well.

Just because a subject won't count towards your UAI doesn't necessarily make it 'a waste of time'. You might want to do the subject just because you're interested in it, shocking as the idea may seem.

But yes, it will count if it's in the top ten units, and a 2U subject will be half-weighted.
