I'm wondering what are unis around the sydney area known for? I've pretty much got no knowledge about university and the like, aside from I want to go. I mean like, UoW is good for Computers/IT.

What are each of the unis around here known for?

To clarify, I suppose the good, the bad as well as what they're good at teaching.

i agree with your uws comment. but UNSW has the strongest engineering faculty and there are way more asians at macquarie.

USYD - Traditional Humanities subjects
UNSW - Engineering/Business/Lots of asians
UTS - CompSci/IT/Visual Communication/Design/Journalism
MQ - History/Languages/Actuarial
UWS - Design/Nursing

That's grossly oversimplifying and could be wrong in most cases.

SYDNEY too many asians?
lol
unsw and macquarie have like 100 times the concentration of asians than sydney......

anyways
usyd = humanities/arts, science, law, med... and basically everything just because we're "the best" in the state.
unsw = engineering, law, med
uts = engineering, communications and design stuff
macquarie = business/economics stuff

I just tried searching for compsci on the UTS website and couldn't find anything. The only computers related course is IT.

Also, I'm interested in Education/Computers not necessarily together.

Usyd is apparently really bad for Psychology, worse than UWS IIRC.

yeah everything except in terms of teaching quality. lol 1 star. even UWS didn't fare that badly.
