Alright, so here's the deal...

I'm doing a bunch of difficult subjects and so are about 6 other people. They beat me in most assessment tasks and its making me feel insecure about my rank and ATAR goals.

The subjects I'm doing are:
3U maths
maths
gen. english
physics
bio
chem

Our teachers provide rather difficult tasks and the marks I've been getting are around the mid 60 - 70% range. (The people that are beating me are around 70 - low 80's) Where everyone else in the class is down mid-50's. In all of my classes there are about 10-20 people, (besides english). Us seven guys would quite easily be top 15 in the year (of about 120).

I'm aiming to get an 80+ ATAR...

Our school is pretty high up there in the rankings, but I'm unsure about this. Does having a not so good rank with a small class of pretty intelligent people have a large effect on my marks? or wot..

If your school is highish in rankings, you'd be sweet for an 80+. Not to be complacent, but your subjects you don't need high marks to get an 80+.
