My cousin came over from HK this year after finishing their version of the HSC. She is now currently studying at St. Paul's International School. She's just completed her bridging course and will commence the foundation course next term. However she just found out that UNSW offers a foundation course and wants to know whether she's applicable for it. She's worried she might not be able to transfer over because she's already paid for the foundation course at St. Paul's and she's wondering whether being on a student visa impacts on this or not?

Thanks for your help.

As for all the academic eligibility, have a look at UNSW's Foundation Year Site, I think our uni also has offices near HK Uni...

If your cousin has a student visa (Only student, and not as a Tourist, etc), then yes it is ok for her to undertake Foundation Courses.

Additionally if your cousin wishes to join this year, it may be slightly late, as I believe foundation courses commence 2 times each year - March & July, some are mid-year. If he/she wishes to join foundation you'll need to apply for next year.
