Howdy!
As most of you know, I’ve planned to do postgraduate medicine at MQU, however, after talking with my parents, we thought - when the time comes - it would be worthwhile for me to apply for medicine at USYD, especially since I have nothing to lose either way. It would be great if I didn’t have to do UCAT or GAMSAT…
I’ve briefly searched through BoS forums to see if there are any answers to my questions, but unfortunately, haven’t found anything.
One of the mandatory pre-requisites is Mathematics Advanced which I achieved a B6 in. Other recommended studies are Biology and Chemistry which are subjects that I’m doing.
As most know, the ATAR requirement is 99.95, including adjustment factors. However, with most USYD early entry courses, B Science & D Medicine, are excluded for adjustment factors.
In this case, what options do I have to obtain adjustment factors? If there are none, does that leave my only option as getting a 99.95 ATAR?
I also had a look at the course on UAC and it’s listed with a Bachelor of Arts. Does this mean that B Arts & D Medicine is another option? Or do I need to study B Arts and B Science as an undergraduate?
Any help is greatly appreciated! I don’t really know my way around finding information from USYD… it’s unfamiliar territory.
