I'm interested in doing public health in the future and was wondering whether people had perspectives to share studying Health Science at either UTS or USYD. I appreciate the less stressful environment of UTS, their opportunities for work placement and the support they provide but I guess USYD just has better reputation/research backing in general. Is one better than the other?

Ehh, I don't know if there is that big of a difference. USYD may be harder/have better reputation, but UTS is a fine university too. If you want to do public health, you'd definitely want to be getting a MPH, so perhaps go to the university that gives you the best chance of getting that degree? So perhaps UTS first, get good grades and have a fun undergrad. Then when you start your MPH, if you're sick of UTS, go to USYD. Otherwise stick with UTS.
