if u use torrents often then you will be caught. You sign in with ur unipass so i think that means they can tract you. Plus with p2p software they can tell when ur connecting to many peers, so they know that your downloading something.

$50 says you ticked a box when you enrolled saying you'll abide by whatever rules your uni imposes on you. i.e. you'll be the uni's bitch when you use their network.

so replying to a department who controls whether or not you can log in with "go fuck yourself" is kinda like seeing a v8 police car and driving past at 120 going "YEAH FUCK U PIGS!!!"

and i think a uni is sophisticated enough to block all non-web traffic (no changing the port to 80 on your privately installed utorrent won't do anything).
