Yep you have to do med, complete internship/residency and then undergo specialist training

Is it very hard to go from Med Science / Advanced into Medicine? What is the probability of getting in? I am very willing to succeed and I am not doing it at all for the prestige or the marks or whatever. I am truly passionate about it. The competition is just so crazy though :(

Also, what is the difference between Medical Science and Advanced Science - for passing GAMSAT? Is one better than the other for it?

It's hard. The probability is like 1 out of 100 lol... Getting good marks isn't necessarily hard (depending on uni), it's just the UMAT...

For GAMSAT, a science degree should suffice...

You basically picked the hardest specialties to get into Dermatology and ENT are among the most competitive. If you think getting into medicine is hard getting into those specialty is 50x harder given the fact that you're competing with brilliant students. Medical science prepares you better for the GAMSAT. Advanced science is more flexible with what you can choose based on your interests. The average chance of getting into medicine is less than 3% of people who want to get in.

Doctors have told me people with PHD's still can't get onto the dermatology training program. ENT hopefuls can wait several years before getting on too.

Good luck!
