Yo all. Im studying 4 HSC right now, and am somewhat confused. I know the diff between B cells and T cells, and between the Phagocytes and the Antibodies, but i cant logically think what the difference between Phagocytes and White Blood Cells could be...any help? Thanks in advance

Whats the difference between a White Blood Cell and a Phagocyte? (1 Viewer)

A phagocyte is simply a type of white blood cell, that engulfs foreign bodies. And there are 2 kinds of phagocytes - macrophages and neutrophils.

B cells - produce antibodies
Antibodies - bind and kill bacteria, and neutralise toxins, helps phagocytosis (helps phagocytes to enguld more efficiently)
T cells - kill foreign materials, like viruses, directly
Phagocytes - a type of white blood cells that engulf (eat) antigens.
Antigen - something that triggers an immune response
