I have done heaps of research these holidays and i am confident in my topic now. How do i actually start writing this thing?

Work your way from general to specific planning.

What do you actually want to say? What specific points do you want to make? What pieces of research do you want to show off? What area of historical theory do you want to show off?

Seriously, just write a bunch of random points on a piece of paper. Once you do that, put them in order of what would be a well-structured essay. Once you do that, for each point, make sure you include pieces of evidence and research that you're showing off.

That's an essay plan.

Don't be affraid to type; but also don't fall into the trap of typing too much and feeling you can't edit it. That's why I suggest only typing once you do the last point/evidence bit on paper.
