You don't "need" any subjects to achieve a UAI of 95+. You can achieve a 95+ UAI with any combination of subjects. What you "need" are marks good enough to get you a 95+ UAI.

General Maths, Standard English, Visual Arts, Drama and CAFS.

Actually you don't need those, but I'm personally trying to get as many smart people to take them as possible so they scale high.

Because scaling is based, to put it as simply as possible, on how many smart people are doing a course, not on how hard the real-BoS think it is.

So follow the smart people at your school.

Or do stuff you're good at so you don't fail, because if you fail you can't get a 95 UAI.

Or you could be mundane and do physics and 4u maths.

This is the best advice you'll ever get.

Oh, the answer is yes. Just aim for 90+ in everything and you'll be sweet.

Actually, depending on the combination of your subjects, you only need to be borderline-90's to get a UAI of 95+. This is speaking from personal experience. If you got 90+ in everything, you'd be likely to get a UAI of 98+, regardless of the scaling of your subjects.

A good rule to follow is to do subjects that you are interested in or are good at. Otherwise you will probably do poorly and drop out anyway.

IMO, if your a mathematical person, stay away from the humanity subjects. Waste of time.

hmmm? If you do bad in IT, it'll drag your UAI down, not the other way around :p
