Isn't investment banking just about the financial aspect?, so why would you need law for this?

And what type of major would you need in commerce for this?

You would need law for just in case you get sued.

Investment banking is super competitive so people take up double degree combinations such as law in order to give themselves a bit of an edge.

I'm sure you'd probably need a finance major in commerce.

Sorry I can't be of anymore help. I'm sure someone with a bit more experience will help out shortly.

You don't need a law degree. However, it may give you insight to some situations which you might encounter in the IB world.

Furthermore, IB is extremely competitive - and you will need to rely on any possible advantage to get ahead of others.

Investment banks see Comm/Law combo very favourably. However, only pursue this option if you are passionate about law as well- as high marks are a prerequiste!

Law is useless. Don't do it.

And being a lawyer is a destiny to poverty. Oh but same with banking...
