It isnt as bad as it seems although they have made a few changes to some of the definitions for 'area of workforce shortage' in the contract.

If you find down the track that you can't work in the area you have to you can buy out of the contract. I don't think that it has any affect on what specialities you can go into unlike the MRBS.
