This may sound silly, but does need to be known by all '09 newbies. What do I take to uni, when it comes to books, folders etc? Or do most people use laptops?

Some people take lappys, but they are easily distracting, for everyone haha.
Most people just have sheets of looseleaf paper, some put it in a folder, some shove it in their back pocket. Other people prefer exercise books, one for each subject or one for the entire semester.

Do whatever works for you. Just bare in mind, it's not like in year 12 where everyone walks around with a massive folder :p

Awesome, thanks! I'm glad my painful days of carrying huge folders (memories of yr 12) everywhere are diminishing:)

Errrr, it's not? :uhoh:

Meh, I just get the Quill black A4 notebooks to write lecture notes in, and scribble on the lecture slides. Other than that, nothing else works for me.

I have a folder this year, but only because I'm not on campus and don't have to carry it. I dunno, not many people in my discipline had one, maybe it's different in commerce and shit.

If I lived on campus, I'd love to turn up to a lecture wearing only a bathrobe and uggboots. Unfortunately I don't and it never really gets that cold anyway.
