It looks like the labor party is trying to remove VSU, do you support this?

Personally I like the idea of VSU – Is it compulsory for lectures to join a union, do workers have to join unions – NO! – If it is voluntary for them it should be voluntary for us!

The current system is good, the Unions can still provide non-essential services to enrich the students experience, however now we have to pay for it like everything else.

I would be happy to join and support a union Voluntarily if I knew my money is not going to support, radical political agenda of some clubs and religious agendas – I mean where do they get the money to supply a free barbeques…? Someone tell me that wasn’t rhetorical…

How I see it Unions provide essential services to students – but most of them are non essential. If it wasn’t for the liberals we would forced to waste $300 +++ dollars per year at least most of it…

If more of the Unions were members were less ultra socialist their services would be more sustainable even with minimal support form universities

The problem is unions are sometimes hijacked by people who have there own political/personal agendas, I support unions on a lot of their issues however I disagree with some of it as well.
Unions are essential, however they will survive with VSU

So NO communism in Uni’s VSU Stays!!!

David Barrow is the NUS president, he goes to UTS and he's a tall skinny gay man commonly seen near the student services area near the glasshouse.

What's everyone's problem with David Barrow? Most everyone I know who knows him likes him well enough. Not at all as disliked as Angus McFarland was, or indeed the previously mentioned Noah White.

Angus McFarland went to my school. He was near universally disliked there as captain, so NUS was a formality.

There is no justifiable reason for the removal of VSU. Not that that will stop the NUS. Is there an annual report or something that the NUS is/will be required to release that will show where they have allocated their distribution of funds?
