chris; dont be so mean. i complimented your legs pshh
I got my tongue pierced on Sunday and honoestly, the clamps and barbell hurt but I barely felt the needle.
I've had it for almost four days now and the swelling's gone down heaps, I didn't eat anything except for ice and cold water after getting it done the first day. On Monday I could only manage fruit puree, mashed potato with gravy and soft serve. I was able to eat solid food again on Tuesday where I ate a hot cross bun, pasta and a doughnut Then yesterday I could eat pizza!
The pain is really a personal thing, and how much it hurts varies. I'm lucky because at my office job I can just sip on iced water all day to keep the swelling down.
The bar used to pierce your tongue initially is quite long and feels really awkward just after getting it done. It's difficult to eat solid foods because you're constantly scared of biting down on the bar which I'm sure will become less likely once a shorter bar is inserted.
It's a great piercing but not for the faint of heart, I barely ate for two days which absolutely killed an eating whore like me.
Hope this helps!
