Yay!! I have a friend!!!

And you caught it when you were older to?? i only found at i had it at 17... about a year ago... Did you have anything trigger it?? Mine was triggered by glandular fever.. oh that was fun few months :D

What type of injections do you take??
Yes, got it at older age than most ppl. But did find out you can get T1 up to 30 . Was sick with asthma + pneumonia a month before being diagnosed so not sure if that was the trigger or not - the endo thought it might have been. I was on lantus and novorapid but started on an insulin pump Nov 5th. What do you take?

Isn't type 2 the one you get from obesity, type 1 is autoimmune isnt it? They were talking about type 1.
Yep, that's correct.

Okay I am totally going to out-do everyone with my non-existent immune system and horribly brittle bones.

INJURIES
Broken my right thigh bone in half
Four fingers broken, one fractured
One fractured toe
Broken right wrist
Fractured left wrist
Broken left ankle
Tore three ligaments off right ankle and ripped the right leg muscle off
Currently have three slipped discs in my back
Currrently have an RSI in my right wrist
Hyperextending and loose joints - my knees, ankles, shoulders, elbows, wrists and hips are ruined.

ILLNESSES
Spondylitis in my back (my spine isn't straight)
Glandular fever
Pneumonia three times
Quincy (like glandular fever but more messed up)
and three mental illnesses if they count?

i used the scissors technique... i just misjudged my jump, and went a little to far and landed with half of my body on the mattress and other half on the concrete floor
concrete floor? where on earth did it take place?

when high-jump is conducted, the mats are surrounded by a synthetic floor.
how else would you be able to use your spikes?

it would be pretty hard to miss the mat also.

sister pushed me down the stairs at home: broken both my left and right radius.

a bull fell on me and shadered my left upper leg, and my left foot (lots of operations) 2 ribs

recently had my right ovary taken out after it rupurted and sent me into shock. i got really sick from that.

Tash

almost forgot: passedout and broke my right cheekbone.

Advanced cellular degeneration already kicked in.
Some cunt did this before I was born.
I'm going to be 70-80 years old biologically when I will only be 40 years old physically.

ehh was playing soccer for school sports and for some reason I had the urge to tackle and ended up ramming heads with some kid my age and the collision cut my head open requiring 7 stitches and 2 days off school. Awesome!

Impressive thread; puts my claims of never-ending accident-prone-ness to shame.

but in the spirit of things, the most notable calamities (if i listed them all we'd be here for days) to happen to myself include

- fractured right wrist
- fractured left wrist and broken left arm just above the elbow
- fractured right thumb (great for a pianist  )
- multiple attacks of wry neck (google it, it's heaps of fun. basically your head gets stuck at an odd angle and you can't get it to move properly again for a couple of days without lots of physio.)
- truly epic deep vein thrombosis (even more fun than wry neck!)
- broke a tooth

- Broke my right wrist when I was 3 by being pushed off a slide
- Sprained each ankle at least 3 times in gymnastics and dancing
- Headbutted a speaker when I was 5 and still have the scar from surgery
- Had a mole removed 3 weeks ago
- I always have at least one bruise on me at any time

i have a very sexy learning disability, sexlexia :)

- on my third birthday i cut through an extension cord with a knife, while it was on
- i broke my right pinkie when i was 7 trying to pick up some rubbish
- stitches in my ass from when i sat on a soap tray in a bath
- stitches in my eyebrow from when it got caught in the springs on a trampoline
- stitches in my elbow from falling onto a star picket, im lucky not to have nerve damage
- stitches in the back of my head from falling onto a brick wall when i tried to swing from a washing line.
- an osteochondroma on my right distil femur (half a golf ball growing out the side of my knee) , and bursitis in my quad from when it got hit playing basketball.
- i have jarred my fingers and rolled my ankles too many times to count
- my back and neck are rooted
- i have been metaphorically stabbed in the heart

last year i was camping with a few friends and an (ir)responsible adult, it was raining and we had a huge tarp laying on the ground. one of the adults got some detergent we started sliding on the tarp. everyone was doing this for ages, i lucked out and was the one that hit a bit of metal that was under the tarp.
I had a huge gash near my knee, but i was laughing and giggling all the way to the hospital :haha:. I got 14 stitches and still have nerve damage. http://img17.imageshack.us/img17/3503/img0566copyj.jpg thats the wound when it was open.

its lucky because later that night everyone was sleeping in a double decker bus which caught fire about 3 am, luckily someone woke up and got everyone out.
