Hello,

Was wondering what you guys all think bout dropping down to 10 units from 12 units. At the moment, I'm contemplating dropping Physics coz I got owned in one of the assessments ... pretty much came like last 20 in the year ( worth 30%), though this is only da 1st assessment. Reckon I should just concentrate on my other subjects and forget bout Phys? Or should I just persevere and keep on fighting on?

Hah... I absolutely got owned in 4U maths as well... but did alright in everything else. Is it better to drop Phys and concentrate in Maths?

You're a High kid? Who are you? :p

Well, Physics ranks at half yearly at our school are like...not a good indicator of where we're at in the course. I was ranked 7th, but, theoretically, I should be lower than that, cause, I gunned theory, and it's only worth 10% of final internal, whereas pracs are worth 20%. For the half yearly report, theory is 50% and the two pracs are worth 25%. So yeah....

MX2 at our school is crazy. As long as you're getting E4, there's really no need to be concerned.

I have no idea. But my guess would be like....Top 50%. So about 65-70.

^ There's stats on the high website on the past years B6's results + averages from the past years. Think Aerath is about right with the Top 70 for MX2; And for physics the average was I think top 25.. But last year there were only 17 B6's or something like that.

the way i see the whole twelve units thing is if you are going terribly with one particular subject, why continue doing it when it probably will not count for your uai, so you may as well focus on the subjects you are good at, this will help you in your UAI.

I did 11 units, all of them counted, except half of textiles.
