well in yr 11 i did a tafe course for tutoring (yay i have a certificate to say i can tutor haha), i did 1 day at tafe and they have this system for tafe students, they give u a tafe account that can be used on det portal and its like what some1 else said, u can go on anything xcept porn.

you have to activate it at home first, actually no u just have to use ur det email, otherwise if u iuse hotmail or yahoo or somehting then u have to do it at home. well u get some paper work when u do a tafe course, eg adress phone number blah blah blah, and it has a code on it and instructions on the back. just follow them and u'll be set up if u still have the files

Below is how to setup a proxy server on your home computer, so you can access your home computer to use as a sub-route around any blocks. However, this means any activity you do on that proxy is still lead back to your home computer, so don't do anything too illegal.

1. apache friends - xampp (Install this, test with cPanel)
2. Dynamic Drive: .htaccess password generator (your "home" folder is also your htdocs folder in xampp, use this to create a password for your server)
3. SourceForge.net: PHP Web Proxy (install this in xampp, I'd do it in the root directory (htdocs), but most people say to put it in an anonymous subdirectory)
4. Test it out. Type your plain IP address into the address bar with the appropriate sub directories, and the password field should pop up, then will take you to your proxy page.
